Days after a performance at the Grammy Awards, Sombr released a new single titled “Homewrecker,” paired with a cinematic music video featuring Quenlin Blackwell. You see the rising artist lean into visual storytelling through a playful Western themed narrative built around attraction and restraint.
The video places Sombr and Quenlin Blackwell as actors working on a film set in the American West. Their on screen chemistry drives the story, while conflict enters through a volatile director played by Milo Manheim. The setting supports the song’s themes of temptation and emotional boundaries. You hear Sombr address the tension directly through lyrics focused on respect, desire, and comparison within a relationship.
Director Gus Black led the visual, continuing a style recognized through past work with Phoebe Bridgers and Laufey. The video relies on performance and framing rather than spectacle, which keeps attention on the interaction between characters and the song’s message.
The release follows Sombr’s appearance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, where he performed “12 to 12” during the Best New Artist nominee showcase. The performance placed him in front of a wider audience and reinforced momentum ahead of the new drop.
