Kendrick Lamer releases a video for “Luther,” from the former’s 2024 surprise album “GNX.“ Karena Evans, known for directing Drake’s “In My Feelings” and Coldplay’s “Everyday Life,” leads the simple yet graceful visuals for “Luther.” The video features each artist with a love interest and concludes with the original Cheryl Lynn and Luther Vandross track, “If This World Were Mine,” which is sampled in the song.

As part of the “GNX” rollout, “Luther” debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following a brief dip, the track jumped to No. 1 after the duo performed it during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, where it has remained at the top for seven consecutive weeks.
Lamar and SZA are set to launch their joint Grand National Tour next weekend in Minneapolis, before heading across North America and then to Europe. The duo last shared the stage during the Super Bowl LIX halftime show—the same day SZA dropped four new tracks on SOS Deluxe: Lana.
