While the “Shotta flow” series started was built on high energy this song makes it feel like he is returning to his former persona as NLE choppa from being NLE the great.
While he was NLE the great he was mirroring the mannerisms and style of Tupac .The same way Tupac dissed biggie in “Hit em’ up” NLE the great dissed NBA young boy for allegedly corrupting the youth with violence in his song “KO”.NLE the great seemed like a more mature version of NLE Choppa and this reflected in “Shotta flow 8” which seems like a more prestige version of the first song in the series
“Shotta Flow 8 feels like a smarter, grown-up version of his old self. It shows him moving away from his ‘NLE The Great’ phase, where he spent most of his time acting and dressing alot like Tupac back to the original NLE Choppa
During his “NLE The Great” era, Choppa didn’t just adopt Tupac’s bald aesthetic; he adopted his role as a divisive moral compass. Just as Tupac famously targeted Biggie in “Hit ’Em Up,” Choppa used his track “KO” to take a shot at NBA YoungBoy, accusing him of “corrupting the youth” with violence. It was a bold, “conscious-thug” stance that mirrored Tupac.
However, “Shotta Flow 8” proves that NLE The Great was not a replacement for NLE Choppa, but rather a refinement of him. This latest installment feels like a “Grown-up” version of the original 2019 hit. He has traded the breathless, chaotic energy of his youth for a calculated, menacing precision. The athleticism is still there, but the maturity he gained while “The Great” has given his flow a new sense of authority.
